Wellbeing
at Work
The theme “Wellbeing at Work” reflects a progressive and holistic approach to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) that aligns with the Ministry of Human Resources’ (KESUMA) commitment to strengthen worker protection, improve labour standards and advance decent, productive and sustainable employment in Malaysia.
Focusing on the theme, the 26th Conference and Exhibition on OSH (COSH 2026) will serve as a strategic national platform to advance dialogue on strengthening compliance with OSH legislation, embedding wellbeing into governance frameworks and enhancing ESG performance through proactive risk management.
Organised by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), COSH 2026 will highlight how organisations can move beyond reactive safety measures towards comprehensive systems that protect both physical and mental health. It is also in line with the World OSH Day 2026 theme, which recognises that workplace wellbeing extends beyond physical safety to include mental health, psychosocial risk management, supportive leadership and responsible work design.
COSH 2026 will also position workplace wellbeing as a measurable driver of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance, particularly strengthening the Social and Governance pillars through worker protection, ethical leadership, transparency, accountability and proactive risk management.
“Wellbeing at Work” also supports the MADANI Government and KESUMA’s broader agenda of enhancing compliance, strengthening governance and ensuring that employers uphold their statutory obligations under OSH legislation. It reinforces the importance of proactive risk management, transparent systems and preventive culture in creating safe, healthy and dignified working environments.
Through the exhibition, NIOSH and exhibitors will showcase practical approaches to assisting employers and employees in understanding legal obligations, improving OSH management systems and implementing targeted workplace interventions. NIOSH’s research and development team will also contribute evidence-based insights and tools to address emerging psychosocial risks, evolving workplace challenges and data-informed wellbeing improvement strategies.
Grounded in Malaysia MADANI’s vision of shared responsibility and sustainable prosperity, COSH 2026 will champion wellbeing at work as the foundation of a strong and future-ready nation. By uniting policymakers, industry leaders and OSH professionals, the conference will advance meaningful action that protects people, strengthens governance and secures a healthier, more resilient workforce for generations to come.
